Open Studio Hours

Trapunto is a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for all. To ensure that our standards of behaviour are met we reserve the right to ask anyone to change their behaviour or leave if making disparaging, discriminatory, or damaging remarks, or making anyone in our space feel unwelcome or unsafe.

• You must work independently. This is not a retreat, and you will not receive any assistance from staff. 
  
  
• Please keep topics of conversation light and comfortable for everyone staff and customers included, by avoiding controversial issues. 
  
  
• Please be mindful that we still require space to do our work as a business and this is not the same as a social retreat setting. Our staff will be polite, but otherwise leave you to work.
  
  
• Ensure you have all the equipment and materials needed for your project. You are welcome to use our sewing machines and spare cutting mats. Anything else will need to be brought from home or you may purchase it from us.
  
  
• Out of courtesy to employees and customers, we ask that you turn your cell phone on silent and refrain from taking phone calls on speakerphone.
  
  
• Due to the health and allergy concerns from exposure to scented products, please refrain from wearing scented products such as perfume, hand lotion, body spray, etc.
  
  
• Please feel free to park in the lot behind the building. There are no parking fees, nor time limits. There are also plug-ins that you may use in the colder months.
  
  
• To guarantee your place payment must be made at the time of registration. You may register through our website or over the phone with a credit card.
  
  
• Bookings will not be available on Sundays or Holidays as well as any day we have events booked.
  

Classroom Setup

• Our Open Studio Hours have a maximum of three (3) people per day.
• Individual, height-adjustable tables that are large enough for individual cutting stations.
• Arms-free, padded chairs on castors.
• Individual design boards.
• Power outlet and power bar for all your needs.
• Pressing station.
• Free use of our counters as well as our sewing machines. 

Cancellations

• Cancellations 2+ weeks from the date will be refunded.
• Cancellations made less than one week before will receive store credit.
• Cancellations same day or no-shows forfeit any claim to refund or store credit.
