Hello!
We are seeking a fabric-loving individual to join us as a part-time retail associate. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service and have a genuine appreciation of fabric and quilting. Retail and quilting experience is essential for this position.
Our staff is the front-line connection to our customers. Our staff ensures a pleasant shopping experience by providing customer service and support with selecting and cutting fabrics, notions, tools, and all other items we have in-store. You will also restock items, do general tidying, and keep the store looking its best.
If you are a friendly and quilty person with great people skills, who enjoys helping others with their quilting endeavours, please apply! We will provide training on all of our procedures.
What we are looking for:
- A positive customer-focused attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Previous retail experience including answering phones and processing customer orders.
- Extensive quilting experience including multiple techniques, the ability to read and interpret patterns, and calculate fabric quantities required.
- Assisting customers with selecting and purchasing fabric, notions, patterns, tools and other items. Being familiar with these products is essential.
- A combination of walking, standing for potentially long periods, reaching, bending, and lifting a max of 25 pounds is required.
- Arranging, restocking, and assisting in receiving and tracking inventory.
- Maintaining the store to keep it looking its best.
- Someone who can work in a loud environment. Our longarm machines can get quite noisy when they get going.
- Other duties as required.
Wage & Availability
$15/hour for up to 20 hours a week, working from 10 am to 5 pm.
10% discount on purchases not including longarming.
Saturdays will be required.
We are closed on Sundays and Holidays.
